| | | | | | The Big Hellos gets a new name | | | It was hard to say goodbye to The Big Hellos. But the working title never quite conveyed what this comedy documentary was all about.
The light came on for me when I was talking with pitching guru, Jan Miller a few weeks ago. She asked me what I was working on these days and I said, "A film about why Inuit find white people funny."
"What's it called?"
"The Big Hellos."
"You should call it Why Inuit Find White People Funny."
Of course!
Of course not! It's too long. That's what everyone else said. So we tried to find a way to shorten it. What we finally settled on was:
Qallunaat! with the subtitle, Why White People are Funny.
This way people who are uncomfortable pronouncing "Qallunaat!" can just call it "Why White People are Funny".
It's a strange solution I know. But what isn't strange about this film? | | | | |
